Welcome to our fundraising page and thank you for participating in the iWalk4MESO virtual race.

Please help us support the Vaccine and Immunotherapy Center of Massachusetts General Hospital by making a donation. The process is fast, easy, and secure. We truly appreciate any support you can provide. It will benefit a great cause!

Every year, more than 3,000 people in the U.S. alone get mesothelioma. Let’s try to find a cure.

This fatal illness could have been prevented. It occurs when one is exposed to asbestos, a mineral that is used in all kinds of products – from insulation to cement, to plastics to roofing materials, steam and hot-water pipes, brake pads, ceiling and floor tiles, paints, and even hair dryers.

That's why many of the people who suffer from mesothelioma are the ones that built our cities – construction workers, steelworkers, power-plant operators – and are our veterans – the men and women who served and protected our country.

Now it's our turn to help them.

Many of us think that if we’re not a doctor, we can’t help.  But we can. Everyone can try and raise money, so we can fight this terrible disease.

The Vaccine and Immunology Center at Massachusetts General Hospital is taking the initiative to investigate technologically advanced ways of treating mesothelioma. The new approaches involve targeting tumor cells at the molecular level, offering hope for thousands.

Please help by donating, no amount is too small, to help fight this deadly disease.

You can also help by joining us for the iWalkforMESO virtual race on September 26 for Mesothelioma Awareness Day. Learn about the race at iWalk4Meso.org.

iWalk4MESO Sponsor

The iWalk4Meso campaign is sponsored by Weitz & Luxenberg P.C., a nationally recognized, personal injury law firm. The firm has been helping victims of mesothelioma for more than 25 years.

According to a member of the firm, “There is no reason honest, hard-working people should have to suffer from mesothelioma. It’s a terrible disease that is the direct result of corporate greed – CEOs and executives making bad decisions and taking shortcuts just to increase their profit margin.”

“With Massachusetts General Hospital, we have hope that a novel approach to cancer immunotherapy is just around the corner. Their research investigating the possibility of disabling cancer cells at the molecular level looks promising.”

“The money we raise through iWalk4MESO will help advance this research. Hopefully, victims of mesothelioma will be able to live longer and enjoy a greater quality of life, and their family members will be spared a great deal of sadness.”

Thank you for your generosity!
